Today our travels take us to Seven Bends State Park, 2111 South Hollingsworth Road, Woodstock, VA 22664. As we traveled from Shenandoah State Park to Seven Bends, the country side and the small towns were beautiful. As we entered the park, we had to cross a low concrete bridge, here is a picture of that bridge.
Our Hike
We started on the Gokotta Trail ( on the advice of the park ranger) which followed the river to the wood line. Here are a few pictures from that trail.
Once we reached the wood line, we took Lupton Road back. This allowed us to walk on the opposite side of the fields we had just walked.
The last trail was the Eagles Edge Trail and that would bring us back to the parking lot.
